Is this what it looks like?

The other day, we were putting together the new stroller for the new baby. Of course, the big empty box became a source of interest for the little warrior and once Daddy got in on the action it was a full-fledged project. I happened to have my camera out snapping away at other stuff and as they were taking laps in the "car" around the kitchen island...I snapped this one...

I checked the little preview window and thought it was pretty cute and then I thought "oh my goodness, is this what it's gonna look like when he drives away for the first time?" What I know for sure is that I will not be prepared for that day.

Remember??

Remember when you were little and everything was larger than life!?
Remember when you got up early just to watch your favorite cartoons?
Remember when being in your pj's all day was "cute"?
Remember when running outside in the rain was magical?
Remember going down the BIG slide for the first time?
Remember running aimlessly in the backyard for no particular reason?
Remember jumping in puddles just for fun?
Remember being treated to ice cream?
Remember being tickled until you laughed so hard that nothing but a big smile was left?

Memories seem to fade over time. They still exist in our hearts, but they are no longer in technicolor. I want to thank my little warrior for reminding me to live in color every single day and to enjoy the little moments along the way.

8 month Belly (girl)

I have been forced to document this despite my resistance! Lower lighting helps. Behold, the eight month belly! Smaller than with the little warrior, but unfortunately I don't FEEL any smaller.

We are getting excited to meet our little girl. Her room is getting close to being ready (and her closet is already loaded with pink thanks to a whole lotta hand-me-downs from family and friends). Daddy put the new crib together (the one we used for the little warrior needed to be replaced) and I've been putting finishing touches on the walls. There are still lots of little projects that need to be done before we are lost again to the world of two-hour feedings, constant diaper changes, constant holding and rocking...but we are working madly to get those done! After my next appointment I'll move to once a week appointments. We are in the home stretch.

Yes, he's Three!

Toddlers...START YOUR ENGINES!!! I guess they aren't really toddlers anymore...BUT, we had a fantastic third birthday. It is so much fun to celebrate with not only our friends, but the little ones who are becoming our child's friends too. Both sets of grandparents were also able to come out and celebrate with us which made the day even more special. We pray every day that we'll have lots more birthdays to celebrate with our little one(s), we know that each year and each day and each moment is a blessing.

And, our little three year old has already been planning his "birthday when I'm 4." I guess it takes a little time to really appreciate the small moments, doesn't it?

Here she is!

We got to have a 3D ultrasound this week and got to take a peek at our little girl! She was sleeping most of the time and we did our best to "wake" her up, but she was snoozing most of the time (I'll take sleep even in utero!). Even still, we got some great pictures of her and can tell that she'll have the same full lips and pout like her brother and most likely her mommy's nose (also like her brother). I know we won't know what she really looks like until she's here, but it was fun to see her in action. She was opening and closing her mouth, moving her hands all around and moving her eyes - although they weren't open. Our ultrasound tech was really nice too and he said she was going to be a cutie! They don't say that to everyone, right :)?
