Best Birthday Week Ever (from Mommy)

Monday: errands and grocery shopping with my favorite
Wednesday: Diamondbacks game with husband
Friday: Shopping and dinner date with my two favorites
Saturday: Burger date with my two favorites
Sunday: favorite and husband bring me a small birthday cake with a candle that favorite blew out and promptly ate.

My heart is so full. I have so many blessings and am thankful for each year and it's trials and triumphs. Looking forward to what comes next and praying for more of God's blessings on our lives.

At the Movies!

It just seemed like a good day to try going to the movies. Despite Mommy being ridiculously late due to a terrible sense of direction, we actually caught a majority of the Disney movie "Oceans." It was pretty cool, but the little warrior's favorite part came in the form of a 90 second part of the movie called "storms." It's where a boat is pretty much tossed all over the crashing waves, but lives to tell the tale. My stomach did a few flips just watching! Little Warrior (LDub) basically kept saying "WOAH! water going in the boat! We all go on that boat, Mommy and Daddy too!"...um, yeah...definitely NOT going on that boat.

Below: Yes, he picked his outfit for the day. I had mentioned in passing that Mommy gets cold in the movie theatre, so he picked out something warm. He also brought along one of his cute little sweatshirts for Mommy in case I got cold :) I was about 108 outside, so we were both all good!

Below: Ticket please!!Below: So many choices! We shared a small popcorn and barely put a dent in it! It was 10:00 in the morning after all. Just want to squish this little guy, he is such a cutie! His pj's made quite an impression on all the lady theatre goers too :)

It wouldn't be fair...

If I didn't post a few pictures of "the other side." This kid is so much fun, but that does not mean that we are immune to our share of the terrible side of two. Although tantrums are frustrating to handle, mostly I just feel bad for him. Look at this sad little face. I am sure my taking his picture didn't help (just had to get a few pics, you know, for that wedding video someday ;). We love our little warrior. Tantrums and all!

Mommy is Chopped Liver

I am not Daddy. And despite my best efforts and my greatness at being Mommy, I will never be Daddy. This is the guy he wants to be when he grows up. This is the guy who means the world to him. This is the guy who has all the answers, can slay any dragon and buys him chicken nuggets. It is really important work to be a Daddy and I'm glad he's got a good one :)
