So, we didn't go to Bali, didn't eat dinner at a fancy restaurant, didn't even take a lazy stroll on the beach this year. For our anniversary celebration, we sat on the couch and ate pudding cups with "zoo pal" spoons. Not romantic, not adventerous enough for you, you say? Well, sometimes in life less is more and this is one of those seasons. We love sitting on our porch, playing scrabble, taking a drive...and yes, we do enjoy the occasional fancy date night or exotic trip, but at the end of the day, it was nice to sit on the couch and "cheers" our little pudding cups to six years of marriage. My wonderful husband did also surprise me with two bouquets of flowers that were the exact colors of our bouquets on our wedding day and he also sent me to the spa for a facial and some down time.
I'd love to post a picture of us from this year, but quite frankly we don't have many of just the two of us, so I'll put up a family pic. Because after all, when we got married six years ago, a family is what we signed up for :)
